Ten years at the top
Audio-visual experts Mediascape Limited celebrated ten years at Borron Street in 2013 — and it’s been an eventful decade.
The company was set up 2003 when Managing Director Angus Knight and his fellow director were made redundant.
Angus revealed: “I’d never thought of starting my own business but always knew there was something else for me to do in life. That change came in December 2003 when a colleague and I were made redundant.
“Borron Street has been the perfect home for the past 10 years”
“We formed our own company with the help of a close friend, Chris Montgomery, who owns Vision Events, Scotland’s leading audio-visual conference and events company.”
With Chris’s assistance, the business grew and Mediascape now designs, supplies, installs and maintains integrated audio-visual systems throughout Central Scotland.
A clear vision for the future
Angus said: “You name it, we supply it — from conference rooms, visitor centres, churches, boardrooms and hotels to training rooms, classrooms, lecture theatres, shops, universities, hospitals and councils.
“We can supply virtually any type of business from point of sale to corporate headquarters, backed up by fully trained engineers and some brilliant sales staff.”
Angus went on: “Our aim has always been to be Scotland’s No.1 company for audio-visual and video conferencing dealerships — and I think we’ve held that accolade for the past three or four years.
“We’ve had plenty of proud achievements, such as accreditations from both the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and Contract Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS).
“And we also came in the top of the list for the Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges (APUC) Scottish Education Framework Arrangement.”
Angus said that Borron Street has been the perfect home for the past 10 years — and he’s started to see some impressive changes.
He added: “The site is extremely accessible from the motorway and is very handy for our city centre customers. Plus, overall, the park is now being looked after in a more professional manner.”
